I love this series for my students who like "special pieces" that are not from the method, and are willing to try different genres.
Songs include:
Carefree
Carnival Rag
Lakeside Morning
Music Box Memory
Night Shadows
Rush Hour Boogie
Too Cool
A Visit to Vienna
Winter in Whitman County - sorry for the background noise, but it gives the right idea.
There are not many videos of this book, so I will attempt to put into words the feel of each piece.
Carefree is an "easy-going" swing piece. Carnival Rag is obviously a rag-time piece at a lively tempo. Lakeside Morning is flowing piece that uses LH crossovers to facilitate using a wide melodic range. Music Box Memory is a beautiful, delicate piece that is slow. The alberti bass simulates a music box, and the D.S. al Coda gives the piece a nice AABA form. Nigh Shadows is videoed above. Rush Hour Boogie is a driving piece with the boogie in the bass and a fun glissando at the end. Too Cool is a swinging piece that uses pedal, triplets, and accidentals. A Visit To Vienna is a graceful little piece in 3/4.
These songs are 2-3 pages in length, and longer than the previous books in the series.
You can find this book on Sheet Music Plus for $6.99. You can also look inside.
